A New Chapter in Education

Unity Park in Tarneit is on the cusp of an exciting development in education, one that promises to shape the learning journey of its youngest residents with a new primary school that is set to open its doors at the beginning of 2025.

Envisioning Educational Excellence

The Riverdale North Primary School (interim name) will welcome students from Prep to Grade 6 in the first term of 2025. Construction is well underway, with slabs being poured and frames starting to take shape. By the time the ribbon is cut, it will have the capacity to enrol up to 650.

Kindergarten on Campus

The Riverdale North Primary School Kindergarten (interim name), still currently in the design phase, is set to open in 2025. This new addition to the primary school will provide 132 kindergarten places for the local community.

Leadership and Learning

Riverdale North Primary School welcomes Nicole O’Brien as the newly appointed principal. A globally experienced educator, Nicole excelled in the Victorian Aspiring Principal Assessment and secured a scholarship for a Masters in Instructional Leadership at Melbourne University from the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership. Her appointment promises a strong start for the school’s first student intake in 2025.

Community Naming Initiative
The significance of a name takes on extra weight when it defines a school destined to be a cornerstone of the community. After undergoing a thorough consultation process, the final decision on the school’s name will be made by the Minister for Education by early Term 3, 2024.
